Advanced simulation/training enabled by Power7E single board computer

HUNTSVILLE, AL MARCH 29,2012 GE Intelligent Platforms today announced that it had secured orders from the US Navy for a quantity of GE's PowerXtreme Power7E single board computers. These will be deployed as part of the Battle Force Tactical Trainer (BFTT) program that is designed to deliver optimum training and simulation capabilities to US Navy ships. The value of the order is $1.85 million.
