HOUSTON, TEXAS---March 6, 2012---GE Energy (NYSE: GE) and its Aeroderivative Gas Turbines business today announced the first iPad® application that highlights its global suite of products and services for the FlexAero LM6000-PH---the world's fastest, most flexible, highest efficiency combined-cycle gas turbine in the 35-65 megawatt (MW) class.

This new, free app available today on iTunes® highlights the first member of the FlexAero family of power generation products. The new app includes product videos, press releases, fact sheets and the latest new media interviews and marketing communications.

Simply search iTunes for GE FlexAero and download highlights and information about the FlexAero. The world's 48-MW aeroderivative gas turbine was unveiled in September 2011 and was introduced to global customers during global FlexAero premiere events in Houston, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Osaka.

"The GE FlexAero app was designed with current and potential customers, employees, investors and the media in mind," said Darryl Wilson, said Darryl Wilson, president and CEO---aeroderivative gas turbines for GE Power & Water. "More than 300 million viewed the messaging around the FlexAero LM6000-PH global premiere last year. It's an exciting time as we are looking for further market and customer penetration through utilizing this app---the first of a continuing line of messaging tools to promote the aeroderivative business."

The new app is part of a growing suite of social media tools and tactics for the Aeroderivative business, which has more than 2,000 power-generating gas turbines in 75 countries worldwide. You also can find out more about GE's Aeroderivative business on Twitter (@GEAeroGT) and on Facebook (LM6000, LM2500, LM1800e, TM2500 product pages).

"This new app, along with our Twitter and Facebook strategies, gives us a cutting-edge to further tell the aero story to a global audience," said Wilson. "Now you can use your iPhone and iPad to find out more about the newest FlexAero products and services---and give us important feedback as we continue to grow globally."
