GE AT WORK TO BUILD, MOVE, POWER, AND CURE IN MYANMAR
Myanma Airways signed contract with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) to lease 10 new Boeing narrow bodies. Deliveries of the new leased aircraft are scheduled to begin in June 2015 and come from GECAS’ existing order book with Boeing. The contract calls for six Boeing 737-800 models and four Boeing 737-8MAX models. The aircraft will deliver through 2020.
GE officially opened its office in Yangon, Myanmar. GE in Myanmar is led by its Chief Country Representative Andrew Lee, who is of Myanmar origin and is well experienced in marketing and business development in Myanmar and the US. Besides its local team, GE appointed Sea Lion as its national distributor in healthcare in 2012.
