GE Power wins INR142 crore contract for NOx reduction technology across 10GW of power plants in India

New Delhi, India, April 10, 2019:GE Power India Ltd. (GEPIL)* today announced that it has been awarded a Rs 142 crore (USD 20 million) order by NTPC for supply and installation of low NOx combustion system for 10 GW of thermal power plant capacity across the country. GE to digitize Tata Power’s thermal and renewable fleet in India

New Delhi, India – January 24, 2019–GE announced today that it has implemented the first Predix Asset Performance Management (APM) solution in India for Tata Power’s thermal business. This is one of two deals that GE won in India to optimize approximately 8GW of Tata Power’s thermal and renewable energy power portfolio using digital solutions. GE is implementing the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) solutions for Tata Power’s thermal assets across nine sites for a period of seven years. GE Renewable Energy Selected by ReNew Power for 300 MW Wind Farm in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA—December 19, 2018 – GE Renewable Energy announced today that it has been selected by ReNew Power, India's largest renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP)*, to provide 120 GE 2.5-132 turbines for the Gadhsisa Wind Farm in Gujarat, India. The wind farm will have a total installed capacity of 300 MW, making it the largest full turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project by GE Renewable Energy in India. GE Power Commissions First-Of-Its-Kind Kashmir Grid Project for Sterlite Power, to Light Up Over Half a Million Homes in Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi, India – December 04, 2018 – GE Power’s Grid Solutions business announced the completion of a first-of-its-kind project for a 400/200 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Magam village in the Baramulla block of north Kashmir. Part of the Northern Region System Strengthening 29 (NRSS 29) project, this project was awarded to Sterlite Power by the Indian Government through tariff-based competitive bidding in May 2014.  Sterlite Energy recently shared that the commissioning of the project was two months ahead of schedule despite challenging mountainous terrain. GE Power to deliver India’s first low NOx Boiler Technology for Thermal Plants

Baden, Switzerland -- September 26, 2018: GE Power today announced that technology has been selected by NTPC and Tata Chemicals to upgrade two coal-fired boilers in India with its low NOx firing system. This is the first installation of this technology in India and it will be implemented at NTPC’s 2x490 thermal plant in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh and the 136 TPH Boiler Tata project in Mithapur, Gujarat. GE Power’s technology can help reduce NOx generation by up to 40% from current levels in these units.   Read More
