Ashish Bhandari is the GEO Market Vice President, India -Baker Hughes a GE Company. He has primary responsibility for all BHGE products companies which includes Oil Field Services, Oil Field Equipment’s, Digital Solutions and Turbomachinery & Process Solutions.
Ashish joined GE in 2004 in Houston, USA and is currently based out of Gurgaon, India. Ashish’s prior work experience includes oilfield operations with Schlumberger, consulting with McKinsey & Co., and products marketing with El Paso Energy.
Ashish is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He received his master’s degree in business administration at Duke University.
Deepesh Nanda is the CEO for GE Gas Power Systems in South Asia. He is based in India and is responsible for GE’s business in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Deepesh has more than two decades of experience in the Energy sector. Before starting his stint with GE, he served as Tyco Sanmar’s Vice President & Business Manager from 2005 to 2010 and also headed Flowserve’s regional office from 2000 to 2005.
He holds a bachelor’s degree, with distinction, in Mechanical & Production Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India, and an M.B.A from the OUBS, Milton Keynes, UK.
Mahesh Palashikar is the CEO, Onshore Wind Asia Pacific, GE Renewable Energy business in the South Asia region, a leading global provider of wind and solar energy products and services and energy storage solutions.
Mahesh is a 14-year GE veteran who has worked and advanced through a series of increasingly responsible assignments in manufacturing operations, global supply chain, quality, six sigma, sales and services within GE’s Healthcare and Power & Water divisions.
Prior to his current role, Mahesh was the Region General Manager of Power Generation Services in India region, a division of GE Power & Water. In this role, Mahesh led the team in delivering comprehensive service solutions to customers’ power plants having GE’s heavy duty gas turbines, steam turbines and generators. Previous to that, Mahesh held various roles in GE’s Healthcare business, as business team leader, six sigma and lean leader, including quality and sales roles over five years in the USA.
Prior to joining GE in 2000, Mahesh worked for more than a decade with Philips in India in their industrial and automotive electronics business.
Mahesh holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a degree in cost and works accounting from India and a master’s degree in business administration from USA. He has also received GE’s six sigma master black belt certification while in the USA.
Nalin Jain leads GE’s Transportation businesses in Asia-Pacific and China which include key markets such as Australia. In this role, Nalin aims to strengthen the business footprint and global capabilities across the region. He played a key role in winning the India Diesel Locomotive project worth USD 2.5 Billion, which is GE Transportation’s largest deal ever.
Prior to this, Nalin was the CEO for GE Aviation and GE Transportation in the South Asia region. He joined GE Aviation in 2005 as Director Sales and was promoted to lead the GE Aviation business in 2008. Under his leadership, the Aviation business made significant gains in the region and established a strong footprint for GE. He assumed additional responsibility for GE Transportation’s business in India in 2012.
Prior to GE, he was Director Global Partnerships with Bombardier Inc focused on business development and strategy in India and SE Asia. In this role, he was instrumental in getting Bombardier engaged with this region including completion of some significant transactions. He started his career with French engineered materials company Saint– Gobain occupying different positions of increasing responsibility in sales & marketing, business development and general management.
Nalin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Surat and an MBA from the founding batch of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Nalin is a member of various infrastructure related industry associations and committees and provides his inputs on these sectors on a regular basis. He is also on the Executive Board of US India Aviation Cooperation Program and a Board of Director of CFM Training School in India.
Nowshad joined GE in 2010 as Country Manager GE Energy and led the growth of the business in Bangladesh across all P&L under the then Energy portfolio. In line with the business realignment his role was refocused on GE Power & Water in 2012 and from 2015 on Gas Power Systems.
An alumnus of Eastern University Dhaka, Bangladesh and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India, where he completed MBA and Bachelor of Technology (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering respectively, Nowshad began his career with ABB in 1985 where he grew from the ranks of Sales Manager to General Manager, Bangladesh, before taking up the GE assignment. A prolific football player, Nowshad represented IIT KGP in the highly competitive West Bengal university football league.
Sunil Wadhwa leads GE's Grid Solution business in South Asia region and is based out of India. Sunil is also the Managing Director of GE T&D India Limited (erstwhile Alstom T&D India Limited), which is listed in Bombay Stock Exchage (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) under the name 'GE T&D'.
Sunil has over 31 years of rich experience in the areas of business operations, project management, finance and corporate governance. Prior to joining GE Sunil has had a highly rewarding 25 years career in the Tata group and then 5 years in ILFS Energy. In his previous roles, amongst others, he is widely admired for leading successful turnaround of the Delhi Tata Power Discom. Sunil did his undergraduate studies at the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, and is a rank-holder chartered accountant. He on an individual level was adjudged as the most inspirational CEO in the power sector across Asia by Asia Power (Singapore) for the year 2008 and has also received Udyog Ratan award from the Institute of Economic Studies, New Delhi
