At GE, we base everything we do around four ways we can change the world.
Realizing a nation's potential
More than US$300 million has been allocated by GE for expenditure in Indonesia as part of its commitment to support the country’s focus on infrastructure development as the country expects to its GDP to grow at about 6% over the next few years.
GE will, over these next five years, partner with Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), Garuda Indonesia, and Pertamina to develop the GE Learning and Technology Center which will serve as a center for leadership and engineering and localization of GE applied technology.
Our team in Indonesia presently has on-going learning programs with keys customers such as the GE-Garuda Leadership Institute, GE-Pertamina Oil and Gas University, GE-KAI Leadership Development, and GE-PLN Leadership Development. One of our partners, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), are in collaboration with us to implement the Executive University program to help develop Indonesia’s human resources. Under the Executive University program, GE and ITB work together on a mentoring program for students, leadership development, and recruitment, as well as in technology research and engineering. The program is part of GE’s commitment to develop local talent and future leaders in Indonesia.
The new GE Learning and Technology Center, which was announced on February 2013, will centralize learning activities like these and extend such programs and facilities to other partners and customers.
