GE is committed to improving Indonesia’s rural healthcare by implementing local solutions with global applicability. For example, GE Healthcare launched the Vscan version 1.3 (Vscan 1.3) in Indonesia, a handheld, pocket-sized screening device with ultrasound technologies, adapted locally with a user interface in Bahasa, Indonesia, for use by medical practitioners.

Oncology: GE Healthcare in Indonesia actively supports Breast Cancer Awareness campaign in Indonesia by providing free breast cancer screening using our ultrasound equipment, and by volunteering in breast cancer awareness events.
Education: Through continuous education and training, GE Healthcare is helping to improve access to quality healthcare by helping to build capacity of healthcare professionals in Indonesia through various collaboration and partnerships via GE Healthcare’s ASEAN Healthcare Learning Institute. AHLI is a virtual institution set up by GE Healthcare as our commitment to develop competency quality of healthcare practitioners in ASEAN.
Since 2012, GE Healthcare Indonesia has trained more than 2000 healthcare professionals, and we have been partnering with POGI and PDSRI to facilitate this trainings.
