As a first step you should download and install the latest licensing activation software. Non-configurable USB (a.k.a “M5 USB”) and Software (a.k.a. “Keyless”) License Keys come with activated licenses. You can start using them right away. Configurable USB (a.k.a “Advantage USB”) or Software (a.k.a “Advantage Licenses”) License Keys need to be activated. You can select the activation option that meets your setup scenario from the list below. You will need Administration privileges on your physical or virtual computer to carry on with this process. You can find additional information in the Quick Install Guide or in our "how to" videos. Next, you'll be on your way to provisioning your GE Digital software.

In this scenario, computers in an intranet with GE Digital products to be licensed are not connected to the Internet, but the Local License Server computer within the intranet is connected to the Internet. Licenses are added to the Local License Server computer within the intranet from the GE License Server. Licenses are then activated on the license server computer from the intranet computers with GE Digital products.
Please note that Local License Servers are required if running in a Virtual Environment.
In this scenario, neither the computers with GE Digital products to be licensed nor the Local License Server are connected to the Internet. Using a flash drive or other portable media device, files are transferred between the offline Local License Server and an online computer that can connect to the GE License Server. Intranet computers then connect to the Local License Server to obtain activation.
Please note that Local License Servers are required if running in a Virtual Environment.
