Steps to Install IGS
- Log in to Windows with Administrator privileges.
- Right-click the IGS installer (for example, double-click the IGS_v7.610_Software.exe file in your Downloads folder; be aware that the version number may differ depending on the currently available release), and select Run as Administrator to start the installer.
- If a message appears that an update and possible reboot is required before proceeding (such as in the following example), click OK, restart your computer if required, and then continue the installation.The select Language screen appears.
- Leave the default, and then click OK.
After a few moments, the welcome screen appears.
- Click Next to proceed. The License Agreement screen appears.
- Select Accept and click Next to continue. The Destination Folder screen appears.
- Leave the defaults and click Next to proceed. The Application Data Folder screen appears.
- Leave the defaults and click Next to proceed. The Shortcuts screen appears.
- Leave the defaults and click Next to proceed. The iFIX Information screen appears.
- Leave the default node name of FIX and click Next to proceed. The IGS install should auto-detect the already installed iFIX instance, making the install and configuration much easier. The Select Features screen appears.
- Select the drop-down arrow next to the Communications Driver folder. It is recommended that you select Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive option, as shown in the following figure.
- Click Next. The Premium Feature(s) screen appears.
- Leave the defaults, and click Next to proceed. The External Dependencies screen appears.
- Click Next to proceed. The User Manager Credential screen appears.
- Select the Skip Setting a Password at this Time option. Click Next to proceed. The Ready to Install screen appears.
- Click Install.
- Wait for the install to complete. When the install completes a final screen appears.
- Click Finish.
