Set Environment Variables for Java

After you have run the APM Connect Installer, you must ensure the environment variables are set.

Steps

1. From your desktop, select the Windows Start button to open the Windows Start Menu, and then right-click Computer.

2. Select Properties.

   The View basic information about your computer window opens.

3. On the Control Panel Home sidebar, select Advanced system settings.

   The System Properties window opens.

4. Select Environment Variables.

   The Environment Variables window opens.

   

5. In the User variables field, select the JAVA_HOME variable, and then select Edit....

   The Edit User Variable window opens.

6. In the Variable value field, enter the correct path for where Java is installed: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_71.

7. Select OK.

8. Select OK to close out the remaining windows.

   The environment variables are set.
