Optimize the Server Performance
About this task
If the file sharing and printer sharing options on the computer on which you want to install Historian is set to maximize data throughput, it can lead to excessive paging when dealing with large files, which can interfere with applications like Historian. This topic describes how to change these settings to optimize the performance.
Procedure
Access the Control Panel.
Double-click Network and Dial-Up Connections.
The Network and Dial-up Connections window appears.
Right-select Local Area Connection Properties, and select Properties.
Select File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks, and select Properties.
Ensure that the Maximize Data Throughput for Network Applications option is selected.
