About the Database Configuration

This section describes about configuring Alarm and Event Archiving.

You must configure Historian to make use of an existing Microsoft SQL Server. For more information, refer to Microsoft® SQL Server®.

Historian's database configuration is determined at install time. As part of the installation process, Historian will prompt you to install and configure a local instance of SQL Server Express 2008 or make use of an existing SQL Server.

Note: Upgrade to the latest version of Historian. During the Install process provide the valid connection information to the SQL Server 2008.
