I’m excited to share that we have announced an expanded, multi-faceted partnership with Microsoft, in which we will deeply integrate the Predix portfolio with Azure’s native cloud capabilities and deploy our Predix solutions on Microsoft Azure. Through the expanded partnership, we will not only co-develop, but also co-sell and go-to-market together, offering end customers premier IIoT solutions across verticals.

This is exciting news which advances GE Digital’s leadership position in the IIoT market. The combination of our industrial data and applications expertise with Microsoft’s sizeable cloud footprint, we will be able to streamline our customers’ digital transformation journey by speeding the deployment of industrial applications and achieving tangible outcomes faster. Leveraging Azure also enables us to expand our cloud footprint globally. Azure meets a broad set of international standards and compliance requirements that allow customer solutions to scale globally. Additionally, co-selling our Predix-powered products with Microsoft greatly increases our reach and market penetration, allowing us to tap into opportunities and revenue in entirely new domains.

Our customers have asked us to make a deeper connection with Microsoft and I’m pleased that we have made it happen. This is the next step to enabling our customers around the world to harness the power of the Predix portfolio in order to unlock new capabilities to drive growth.
