Powders

Arcam has a validated powder supply chain with full traceability of every powder batch delivered. All powders supplied by Arcam are extensively tested before release to customers, which includes making sure the EBM parameter settings are optimized to work well with the powders.

Arcam EBM Ti-6Al-4V - Titanium Alloys

Ti6Al4V is the most widely used titanium alloy. It features good machinability and excellent mechanical properties.The Ti6Al4V alloy offers the best all-round performance for  a variety of weight reduction applications in aerospace, automotive and marine equipment.

Properties

The Arcam EBM Ti6Al4V (Grade 5) powder has a particle size between 45 and 106 µm. The Material complies with the ASTM standard F2924.

Arcam EBM Ti-6Al-4V ELI - Titanium Alloys

Ti6Al4V is the most widely used titanium alloy. It features good machinability and excellent mechanical properties.  The Ti6Al4V alloy offers the best all-round performance for  a variety of weight reduction applications in aerospace, automotive and marine equipment.

Ti6Al4V Grade 23 (ELI) is very similar to Ti6Al4V Grade 5, except that Ti6Al4V ELI contains reduced levels of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and iron. ELI is short for “Extra Low Interstitials”, and these lower interstitials provide improved ductility and better fracture toughness for the Ti6Al4V ELI material.

Arcam EBM CoCr ASTM F75 - Cobalt-Chromium Alloy

The Arcam ASTM F75 CoCr alloy powder for EBM is a spherical powder with low internal porosity and few satellites produced by gas atomization. The chemical composition complies with the ASTM F75 standard specification.

Arcam EBM Ti Grade 2 / CP Ti - Titanium Alloys

Unalloyed Commercially Pure (CP) Titanium is available in four different grades, 1, 2, 3 and 4, which are used based on the corrosion resistance, ductility and strength requirements of the specific application. Grade 1 has the highest formability, while Grade 4 has the highest strength and moderate formability.

Arcam EBM Alloy 718 - Nickel-Base Alloys

Alloy 718 is a Nickel-based alloy with high strength and good corrosion resistance in high temperature ranges (~650-700°C) with aerospace applications such as housings and gas turbine parts, liquid fueled rockets and also cryogenic tankage applications.

Arcam EBM Ti-Al - Titanium Alloys

Titanium Aluminide (TiAl) alloys are attractive materials for structural aerospace applications at high temperatures, up to ~700-800°C depending on the application, with a specific strength comparable to Ni-base superalloys. Their high strength, high stiffness and good creep, corrosion and oxidation resistance combined with a low density make them a potential alternative to the standard Ni-based supperalloys.
