Rich Laxer is senior vice president of GE Company and chairman and CEO, GE Capital. He was named to this position in September 2016.
Since 2009, Rich has held a number of international leadership roles and most recently was president and CEO of GE Capital International. From 2006 to 2008, he was president and CEO of GE Capital Solutions, a global equipment lending and leasing business. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of GE Capital's European Corporate Financial Services business.
From 1991 to 2003, Rich held a number of leadership roles at GE Capital Real Estate, concluding with responsibility for the Asia Pacific region.
Rich was named a company officer in 2003 and is a member of GE's Corporate Executive Council.
Rich began his career at GE in 1984 as a member of the Financial Management Program (FMP) and served in a variety of sales and leadership positions.
Rich is on the board of Moneta Money Bank, a publicly traded Czech bank, and is member of the 30% Club, a group committed to bringing more diversity into UK Boards.
Rich graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in business and was previously a member of the Skidmore College Board.
Rich and his wife have two daughters and reside in London.
