The innovative GE Brilliance system is an all-inclusive package that blends seamlessly — and subtly — into your home’s design. It has no moving parts, works in parallel with your local utility and is designed to provide years of reliable, maintenance-free operation.
The system features GE’s roof-integrated, solar panels, offered in sizes from 1kW to 10kW. Once installed, homeowners can track the amount of electricity produced by their system on their Energy Monitoring Dashboard, an interactive wall panel exclusive to Homes Inspired by ecomagination.
How Solar Works
Every day, the sun shines onto the array of solar panels and electricity is generated and delivered to meet your home’s electrical load. In most cases, this power will be utilized to serve the daily electrical requirements of your household. However, if your GE Brilliance system is producing more power than your home needs, the excess power generated can, in some places, be fed back into your local electric utility company. This may be used to offset the retail rate you pay for electricity, meaning your utility will be purchasing power generated by your solar power system.
