Kovit Kantapasara, previously Country Executive, GE Energy Thailand, Effective 1 January 2012, is the President & CEO, GE Thailand.
Mr. Kovit joined GE Power Systems in 1994 as a Power Plant Project Sales Manager. He moved to Energy Service in 1997 and grew a successful service business from US$ 3 millions to US$ 100 million business. He had signed the long-term service agreement with total contract amount of nearly US$ 1 Billion. After several successful assignments, GE promoted him to be Country Manager of GE Energy Thailand in 2001. A few years later, Mr. Kovit was again being recognized of his accomplishment in driving company’s business growth and promoted to his current role as Country Executive of Indochina region.
Before joining GE, Mr. Kovit was a managing director of a trading company. He spent 7 years working for leading local and multi-national information technology companies in sales and marketing positions. During his sales leadership career at Digital Equipment Corporation, his sales team had won the excellent global sales award for three consecutive years.
Kovit was born on July 22, 1959 in Bangkok, Thailand. He got his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Chulalongkorn University and obtained his MBA from University of Oklahoma, USA.
He enjoys golfing, reading and traveling.
