GE Water & Process Technologies and the Saudi Arabia-based Al Tamimi Group announced “GET Water”, a partnership that brought a fleet of GE Mobile Water Treatment Systems to Saudi Arabia. The mobile fleet, which includes seawater and brackish water reverse osmosis (RO) systems, ultrafiltration (UF), multi-media pretreatment, and clean-in-place (CIP) systems, supplies the Saudi Arabia marketplace with on-site, drought-proof supplies of water, water reuse, wastewater management and emergency water response capabilities.

GE Sensing and Ali A. Tamimi Co.’s newest venture is the Saudi Arabian Sensing Solutions Co. (SASSCO). As only the third facility of its kind in the world, SASSCO specializes in the testing and calibration of sensing products. The facility handles sales and service as well as function as a training center for the entire Kingdom.
With three new GE Healthcare service support centers in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, GE is growing its capacity to assist with the various medical and health needs of Saudi Arabia’s diverse population. This expansion is part of GE’s commitment to raising healthcare standards in the region. From helping raise life expectancy, to reducing obesity and diabetes and treating cardiovascular disease early on, GE is applying its early model of care to Saudi Arabia.
With an investment of US$75 million, and 125,000 square feet in space, GE Energy is developing a new state-of-the-art service centre in Dammam, in association with GE’s joint venture partner Ali A Tamimi & Sons Company.The Power Technology Center will provide the latest in repair technology for B, E and F gas turbines. It will also feature state-of-the- art coating facilities, lean flow/design for reduced time cycles, as well as a crane weight-capacity of 100 tons.
