Welcome to GE in Romania

GE has been active in Romania since 1984. Since then, many GE divisions have entered the Romanian market, hence the number of employees exceeds 1200 people today and is continuously growing. Currently, GE local presence consists of some registered businesses, including Unison Engine Components Bucharest SA, former Turbomecanica Combustor Products, the only manufacturing unit for aircraft engine components GE has in South Eastern Europe and GE Medical Systems Romania Srl, helping healthcare professionals provide patients with earlier diagnosis, earlier information and earlier treatment equipment. Under the GE Money brand, GE offers in Romania financial products such as auto finance and leases, personal loans, mortgages etc.

GE's goal is to create growth by matching the country’s potential with GE’s state of the art equipment and services, not only helping to increase customers' competitiveness, but also anticipating their needs and advancing the upgrade of infrastructure and the country’s modernization. GE is virtually the only company to offer locally an exceptional variety of world-class technology in energy, transportation, healthcare, water and security. The company's wide range of products is complemented with strong consumer and commercial financial services.

Romania is one of the fastest growing GE locations in Europe, GE's recent local investments together with its partners amounting to about $ 500 million.

GE also is a good local citizen and started to invest in the country's future by supporting innovative educational programmes for students and children with disabilities.

The company has recently founded a local GE Volunteers Council meant to facilitate volunteering activities that can improve student achievement, bolster community vitality and support environmental stewardship.

From jet engines to power generation, financial services and medical imaging to news and information, GE people worldwide are dedicated to turning imaginative ideas into leading products and services that help solve some of the world's toughest problems.
