Continuing Edison’s Legacy X3

Continuing Edison’s Legacy X3

Today is a big day for the future of GE innovation. I’m excited to announce that we will be creating three co-located advanced research centers on the Niskayuna and Bangalore campuses that will bring new opportunities for growth. This will give each planned investment grade company – GE HealthCare, GE Vernova, and GE Aerospace – leading innovation engines to drive their futures.

I can’t think of a more fitting way to honor Thomas Edison’s legacy than by continuing GE’s innovation DNA to shape some of the biggest endeavors of our time - the advancement of precision health, the energy transition, and the future of flight. Having strong innovation arms to deliver new technological breakthroughs will be essential, and the world-class talent in Niskayuna and Bangalore will be vital to these missions.

The transition to three advanced research centers will follow closely with the intended spins of each GE company. What won’t change are the unique qualities that makes GE Research so special. GE’s Niskayuna and Bangalore campuses will continue to be shared spaces rich in world class talent, with focused missions around shaping the future of the world.

We’re multiplying GE’s commitment X3 to have an even bigger impact on shaping the future of our industries and the world!
