The right equipment with the right financing may help you compete more rigorously in the marketplace. Rail Services can help. We can offer you a wide array of financial options tailored to suit your needs. We'll work with you to find creative alternatives that will help you achieve your financial goals.

Whether you need short-term options to handle surge capacity, or long-term leases for new equipment, rely on Rail Services. Our expertise extends throughout GE, giving us the resources to put together deals that suit a variety of needs.

The right equipment

We're upgrading our fleet of more than 120,000 intermodal assets - domestic containers, trailers and chassis - to provide you with equipment that will maximize your delivery efficiency. For example, our chassis stretch program is modifying our 48-foot chassis fleet to a 53-foot chassis fleet. Our upgraded 53-foot chassis give you a less expensive alternative to brand new equipment. And we are investing in 53-foot trailers and 53-foot containers to expand our equipment offerings.

At Rail Services, we're investing in equipment so you'll have the right equipment when you need it - with the right financing that works for you economically.

We provide the following types of intermodal equipment:

Chassis

We offer 48-foot and 53-foot equipment on short-term rentals, long-term leases or purchases of pre-owned equipment.

  • 48'- Our Light 48-foot gooseneck chassis are a durable yet lightweight alternative to traditional over-the-road vehicles, offering better weight distribution for maximum payload.
  • 53'- Extendable chassis provide the flexibility necessary for handling the full spectrum of intermodal loads. The frame assembly is designed to be easily adjusted for use with 40-foot marine containers, 45-foot domestic or marine containers, and 48-foot domestic containers.
Containers

Whether for daily rental or long-term operating lease, our containers offer shipping advantages, including larger cubic capacity and larger payload capabilities. They're also built to AAR specifications - with 48-foot or 53-foot models available.

Trailers

Our quality-built, late-model vans - available on daily rental or long-term operating leases - make your unloading operations easier and minimize your risk of downtime. We provide a fleet of 45-foot, 48-foot and 53-foot trailers.
