GE’s Foundation Scholar-Leader Program has been managed by the Institute of International Education since 2003. The 15 Scholar-Leaders from Polish universities are awarded a $1,200 scholarship annually for three years of study, the chance for a one-day work shadowing opportunity with a GE leader in Poland, and the opportunity to participate in an annual summer seminar in Hungary. The third edition of the program (conducted in 2005-2006 academic year) was addressed at students of five Polish Universities: Gdansk University of Technology, Lodz University of Technology, National Louis University in Nowy Sacz, Warsaw University, Wroclaw University of Technology.
