GE Infrastructure

Water Droplet

One of the world’s leading providers of fundamental technologies to developed, developing and emerging countries, including aircraft engine, energy, oil and gas, rail and water process technologies and services. GE Infrastructure also provides aviation and energy leasing and financing services.

Business units operating in Poland:

Aviation is the world's leading producer of large and small jet engines for commercial and military aircraft. We also supply aircraft-derived engines for marine applications and provide aviation services. Technological excellence, supported by continuing substantial investments in research and development, has been the foundation of growth and helps to ensure quality products for customers. CFM International, a 50/50 joint company of Snecma Moteurs of France and GE, headquartered in Paris, produces CFM56 engines used by Boeing and Airbus.

In 1999 GE and Polish Airlines LOT signed the JV agreement, creating CFM Modular Maintenance Shop.

In 2000 Engineering Design Center (EDC) was established under “Cooperation Agreement” and “License for GE technologies transfer to Poland” signed by GE AE and Institute of Aviation. During only eight months the EDC implemented ISO 9001. The Center employs 150 persons and is currently conducting recruitment of engineers specializing in aeromechanics, metallurgy, engine systems design, endurance and thermal analysis, etc.

Aviation has its sales/representative office in Warsaw.

GE’s Energy business is one of the world's leading suppliers of technology, products and services to the energy industry. We provide a comprehensive range of solutions across the energy value chain, from supply and conversion to delivery, utilization and services. By providing products for oil & gas, fossil, nuclear, hydro, renewables and transmission & distribution users, we are uniquely prepared to help fulfill the world's demand for reliable, cleaner and more efficient energy.

In Poland, Energy’s main activities include work in the following areas:

Aero Energy

Based on our highly successful aircraft engines, we provide industrial land-based and marine aero derivative gas turbines for power generation and CHP applications. Generally fuelled on natural gas, these high efficiency turbines are usually incorporated in to smaller 20MWe to 100MWe industrial or municipal projects where both heat and power are required.

Heavy Duty Industrial Generation

A full range of heavy-duty gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and combined cycle systems optimized for a wide variety of customer applications and duty cycles including, baseload, peaking, cogeneration and integrated gasification combined cycle, typically from 40MWe to multi GWe projects. These products offer the capability to burn a wide range of fuels in high efficiency, low emissions configurations, while meeting all the demands of a modern power system for flexibility, reliability and availability.

Gas Engines

Our range of gas-fuelled Jenbacher reciprocating engines and packaged generator sets for a wide range of gas qualities including natural gas, biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas and combustible industrial waste gases. Gas engines range in power from 0.3 to 3MWe.

Renewables

We offer a broad range of renewable power generation solutions incorporating wind, hydro and solar technologies. We are one of the worlds leading provides of commercial wind turbine technology with turbine sizes ranging from 1.5 to 3.6MWe.

Energy Services

We provide full parts, service and repair capability for GE technology post installation. In addition to this we also provide upgrades for efficiency, output, reliability and emissions, and can incorporate all of these activities in to a performance based services contract where technology risk is transferred from the customer to GE.

Wind Energy

With wind turbine design, manufacturing and/or assembly facilities in Germany, Spain and the United States, Energy's current product portfolio includes wind turbines with rated outputs from 1,500 to 3,600 kilowatts, and support services ranging from project development assistance to operation and maintenance. The company has developed and/or installed more than 7,500 wind turbines with a total capacity exceeding 6,200 megawatts.

Programma Electric

Located in Taby, Sweden, Programma Electric develops, manufactures and markets equipment solutions and services for the maintenance and testing of high-voltage systems, which help prevent serious power outages and eliminate downtime. The products are manufactured in compliance with the ISO 9001 quality assurance standards as well as many other recognized world-wide standards and regulations. Programma Electric was acquired by GE Power Systems in 2001.

Bently Nevada

A leading global supplier of products and services for assessing and ensuring the mechanical and thermodynamic health of industrial equipment. The company maintains nearly 100 offices in the principal industrial centers of 43 countries, serving a broad base of more than 25,000 customers in the power generation, petrochemical, and numerous other industries.

A leader in solving some of the world’s most pressing water challenges by providing industrial, agricultural and potable water, while lessening our dependence on fresh water sources. Technologies to accomplish this include desalination, advanced membrane, separation solutions, and water reuse and wastewater management and process technologies. GE delivers value to customers by improving performance and product quality, reducing operating costs and extending equipment life. Sales office in Poland.

The unique solutions of Water & Process Technologies include fully automated Water Purification Plant, which was implemented by “epeKoks” Energy Services Company in April, 2005, in Walbrzych. The plant enabled the “Victoria” coking plant to become independent from external water supplies and to use water with exceptionally high concentration of manganese and iron which several times exceeded typical concentrations for deep well water.
