GE in Poland: A Fruitful Partnership Based on Research and Innovation
In 2000, GE and the Warsaw Aviation Institute launched the Engineering Design Center (EDC). Today, the EDC employs 2000 local engineers who work closely with multiple GE businesses, including GE Aviation and GE Energy, as well as GE Oil & Gas and GE Rail. The EDC underscores GE’s commitment to work in Poland as an investor and as a long-term partner. More than two decades after launching its activities in Poland, GE employs more than 10,000 workers across multiple businesses, including financial services, healthcare, power generation and aviation.
GE also oversees an ambitious philanthropy effort that supports the next generation of engineers and innovators by providing scholarship and internship opportunities to local students pursuing degrees in economics, management, engineering or technology.
