At GE we ask, “Why predict the future when you can create it?” From our earliest days, our company has used the tools of research, combined with a little inspiration, to create the world of tomorrow. The legacy of GE’s ingenuity offers a rich history we are proud to share with the world.
GE's History in New Zealand
GE has had a long, but little known history in New Zealand. However, with the purchase of AGC (NZ), Ltd. in 2002, and more recently the purchase of the commercial property portfolio of AMP, GE has significantly increased its level of investment. Expanding its business and service offerings in New Zealand is an important component of GE's growth strategy in the region. Today GE employs over 600 people across 6 businesses throughout New Zealand.
