FAIRFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2002--General Electric has announced the appointment of three new company officers.
Carol Anderson, 46, is Vice President, Human Resources for GE Commercial Finance, serving in this role since September 2002. Anderson joined GE in 1986. She has spent her 16-year tenure in various leadership development, executive compensation and HR management roles at GE Capital and GE Corporate. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Business from Ithaca College and an MBA from Columbia University.
David Joyce, 45, is Vice President and General Manager, Commercial Engines at GE Aircraft Engines. His previous role was General Manager, Small Commercial Engine Operations. Joyce joined GE in 1980, graduating from GE's Technical Leadership Program. Throughout his 22-years at GE Aircraft Engines, he has held several leadership positions in quality, engineering and customer support. He earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from Xavier University.
Leon Roday, 48, is Vice President and General Counsel for GE Insurance. He assumed this role in September 2002. He will also continue in his role as General Counsel for GE Financial Assurance. Before GE, Roday was a partner at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene and MacRae. He is a 1982 graduate of the Brooklyn School of Law where he earned his J.D. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California.
