Today healthcare is on everyone’s mind — how to provide it, how to pay for it, how to improve it. GE has been exploring these questions too. As a result, we’re changing the way we provide health benefits.

Your new insurance plan, GE Health Choice, will expand preventive coverage, provide you with tools to be healthy, and will protect you financially in the case of severe illness. Under GE Health Choice, the cost of healthcare for some employees will increase. As a result, you will need to become more responsible for how you spend your healthcare dollars.

Prepare for November

You must make an election this November. But don’t wait. Start your decision process now, and give yourself enough time to make a truly informed choice.

GE Medical Benefits, GE Health Care Preferred and the alternative health plans will no longer be available to you as of January 1, 2010. The shift to GE Health Choice will not affect your dental and vision coverage.

In-person and teleconference meetings may be available in your local area. If so, try to attend. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and get informed. Go to the Informational Meetings Page to learn more.
