GE offers a complete line of blended surfactants. DusTreat Wetting agents are designed to increase the ability of water to adhere to and spread over the dust particle. This increases the bulk density of the particle and leads to agglomeration. These products are particularly effective in reducing dust generated during unloading and conveying operations. GE can also custom design the spray equipment used in your operation. Specialized systems are designed for underground mines for use in ore passes and other transfer operations.

GE also provides a complete line of binders for residual control of fugitive dust emissions. DusTreat binder products offer long-term dust suppression versus water or foaming agents alone. They are used on a variety of solid materials including mineral ores, coal, coke, hot iron pellets and fly ash. The DusTreat binders include inorganic and organic based products. Treatment programs can be designed for many applications including vender roads or mine haul roads, material storage piles and hot materials.

GE´s DusTreat Crusting Agents are a complete line of blended wetting and organic agents specifically formulated to reduce fugitive emission from inactive storage piles such as coal or concentrate. DusTreat Crusting agents produce a semi-permanent, rain-resistant crust. They protect piles against wind erosion and thereby reduce inventory losses. They reduce oxidation and resultant coal pile fires or concentrate self-heating. DusTreat Crusting Agents are also used to effectively crust mine tailings. These products improve working conditions and community relations.

GE provides a complete line of Foaming Agents used for a wide variety of materials including coal, limestone, coke, mineral ores and fly ash. DusTreat foaming products offer state of the art control for PM-10 (10 micron diameter) fugitive dust. Emissions reduced by 90% for most materials. The combination of high foam surface area and low moisture addition yields superior dust suppression versus water with less material flow problems. GE´s custom designed foaming systems are easy to use and very reliable.

GE has combined the technology of foaming agents and binders and blended them together to provide “residual foam” products. These products are uniquely formulated to control fugitive dust throughout an entire material handling system. They maintain control of dust emissions through multiple transfer points and active storage piles. They reduce inventory losses.
