Locomotive

GE has been present in Egypt since 1974. Through the years, GE has partnered with government entities and private businesses on projects across the country in various sectors such as power, healthcare and transportation. Today, there are more than 100 employees working for GE in Egypt.

With an established corporate office in Jordan, GE is committed to expanding its presence and activity in project sectors ranging from energy, aviation, oil & gas as well as the industrial businesses. In addition, GE Healthcare has its own operations in Jordan.

Buildings

GE established its first corporate office in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2005. Today, with a rapidly growing diverse team, this office serves the entire East & Central Africa. Most of the GE businesses have on-the-ground-presence such as GE Healthcare, GE - Security, GE - Water & Process Technologies and GE - Transportation. Other businesses with active projects include GE - Energy, GE - Aviation, GE - Silicones as well as GE - Consumer & Industrial.

Water exhibition

GE has established presence in Kuwait, and has partnered with the government and private sector in various industries such as oil & gas, water and healthcare. Sulaibiya, Kuwait, is home to the world's largest wastewater treatment plant - a facility developed, operated and owned by GE. GE is committed to the longer term growth of Kuwait.

GE has been in Lebanon since the 1960's. It has continued to grow since then, and today, GE enjoys a leading position in healthcare and has business activity in other sectors including transportation, energy, as well as appliances.

GE's strong presence in the Middle East since the 1930s has ensured its growth through its diversified businesses serving the power, water, health, aviation, consumer goods and industrial sectors.

Aircraft engine

With years of success in the Qatar market, GE recently inaugurated a new multi-storey office building, located on the C-Ring Rd, which is home to the company's wide range of businesses from energy, water technologies and security to advanced materials, healthcare as well as the consumer and industrial division responsible for appliances and lighting.

Airplane engine

Saudi Arabia is one of GE's key growth markets, featuring a workforce of more than 600 employees - the largest in the region - and offices in Jeddah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province as well as joint ventures in fields of energy, healthcare and appliances. GE's current business portfolio in Saudi Arabia includes power and water, transportation, healthcare, in addition to new opportunities in financial services and advanced materials.

The GE presence in South Africa dates back to 1894. Today, GE employs more than 500 employees in the country and has operations in diverse sectors. GE is committed to continue supporting the growth of the economy and industry.
