2013年3月15日、GE本社（米国コネチカット州フェアフィールド）は、下記の声明を発表いたしました。
GEは、日本政府による環太平洋パートナーシップ協定（TPP）への交渉参加、およびその総括的で高水準の合意による米国および各国の市場開放と雇用促進を歓迎します。日本の交渉参加への決定はTPPの経済的潜在力を著しく強化し、大きく統合されたアジアパシフィック市場をGEおよびその他の企業にもたらすことが予測されます。私どもは参加国が慎重な交渉を継続し、可能な限り迅速に合意に至ることを支持するものです。
FAIRFIELD, Conn. - March 15, 2013 - GE welcomes Japan’s decision to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to negotiate a comprehensive, high standard agreement which will open markets and create jobs in both the United States and abroad. Japan’s decision to join the negotiations will greatly enhance the economic potential of the TPP, creating a large integrated Asia-Pacific market for GE and other companies. We encourage the member countries to continue negotiating with deliberate speed to conclude negotiations as expeditiously as possible.
