As part of our drive to expand our wind footprint throughout India, our energy financing unit, GE Energy Financial Services, provides developers with attractive financing options to expand infrastructure and capacity.

GE EFS oversees an energy portfolio worth a combined $20 billion, of which $8 billion supports wind, solar, biomass, hydro, geothermal, and other renewable power projects.

Our global financing capacity has been tested and proven in supporting renewable energy project across the world. In the US, GE helped finance one of the country's largest wind projects, the 845 megawatt (MW) Shepherds Flat Wind farm, currently under development in eastern Oregon.


In India, GE EFS recently committed to invest & support wind business of Greenko. A first project, the 65-MW Ratnagiri wind farm in the state of Maharashtra, is slated for completion in December and will use GE's locally made 1.6-82.5 turbines.
