In November 2010, the GE Board of Directors named Rice to lead the company’s global operations with particular emphasis on high-growth markets such as China, India, the Middle East, and Brazil, beginning in January 2011.
Jeffrey R. Immelt is GE's Chairman and CEO. Since beginning his tenure is 2001, he has worked to transform GE into a more global, diverse and customer-driven culture.
