GE installed India's first hydropower plant in 1902. Today, all of GE's global businesses have a presence in India. The company participates in a wide range of manufacturing, services and technology businesses in the country. GE's revenues in India are approximately US $ 2.8 billion. It exports over $1 billion in products and services. Employment across India exceeds 14,500.
