Mona took over the position of Chief Compliance Officer & Counsel for GE India in 2010. Mona joined GE in 2004 with Healthcare business in Bangalore. In seven and a half years at GE, she has served as the Legal & Compliance Counsel for its Infrastructure business & transportation business. She moved into Compliance role in 2008 by taking over the role of Asia Compliance Counsel for GE covering the entire Asia region including China, ANZ, Japan, ASEAN & India.
Mona has a doctorate degree in Cyber Law from the University of Pune, a Master’s Degree in International Trade Law from the University of Leicester, UK, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Pune. She has a specialization in Cyber and Intellectual Property laws and has completed a specialized course with the International Court of Justice, Hague & the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Mona started her career with Alfa Laval India Limited in Pune in 1995. Between 1996 & 2003 Mona worked for Reliance Industries in Mumbai and Satyam Computers in Hyderabad. Pursuing her academic interests, she has worked extensively with the Administrative Staff Collage at Hyderabad and was instrumental in drafting model labor laws for the country. She loves teaching & has been a visiting faculty at many collages and institutes including at IIM Bangalore.
