Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP)
The Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP) prepares high potential senior level hires, with a track record of professional success for GE leadership roles in human resources. The two-year global program offers opportunities for leaders to experience assignments across GE businesses, receive world-class leadership training, interact with and influence senior decision-makers and be part of a close-knit global network of HRLPs. Successful HRLPs have been able to leverage this opportunity to accelerate their careers.
Program Summary
The HRLP Program consists of three, eight-month assignments within the human resources function, including the opportunity for cross-functional experience.
Although each participant’s rotations are different over the two years, the standard curriculum and power of the HRLP network drives consistency across experiences.
It concentrates on leadership, HR, and business-focused training.
Program participants benefit from an extensive peer network, exposure to senior leaders, cross-business projects and four global seminars.
Candidate Criteria
SALES & MARKETING
Masters’ degree in business or a human resources discipline (e.g. industrial & labor relations, industrial & organizational psychology, organizational behavior, etc.)
5+ years of strong HR experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to embrace change.
Flexible, adaptable and geographically mobile.
Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP)
The Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP) prepares candidates with significant work experience and MBA degrees for leadership roles in marketing and sales in one of GE’s businesses. The two-year rotational program offers opportunities for individuals to drive growth within a business, receive world-class commercial and leadership training, and be part of a global network of marketing and sales leaders. The ECLP program began in 2002 as part of our Chairman's commitment to grow GE's commercial pipeline and aims to position GE as the "gold standard in marketing".
Program Summary
Overview: The ECLP program consists of three, eight-month rotational assignments within the marketing and sales functions of one of GE's businesses.
Exposure: Work closely with senior executives on their top-priority business initiatives.
Impact: Apply skills and gain leadership perspective through challenging, high-impact assignments.
Training: Learn sales strategy, marketing and leadership skills from professional trainers and GE executives alongside ECLP members from around the world.
Candidate Criteria
MBA with 6 to 8 years of commercial experience.
Excellent communication skills and ability to embrace change.
Strong analytical skills and expertise aligned with a GE business segment.
Flexible, adaptable and geographically mobile.
COMMUNICATIONS
Communications Leadership Development Program (CLDP)
CLDP is a challenging, rotational program focused on accelerating the development of top potential communications and public relations talent. The program is designed to create a pipeline for leadership roles across GE, one of the world's most admired companies. Participants gain valuable experience and contacts in GE businesses through their rotational assignments.
Program Summary
The CLDP program involves three challenging eight-month rotations in GE's businesses.
Rotational assignments could include (but not limited to) work in public relations, marketing communications, employee communications, executive communications, corporate citizenship communications.
The program provides leadership, communications and business-focused training.
