GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP) is widely considered to be the premier program of its kind. It is the first step in many successful GE management careers. FMP develops leadership and analytical skills through classroom training and key assignments.
Program Summary
Intensive two-year entry-level program spanning four rotational assignments.
Hands-on experience may include: financial planning, accounting, operations analysis, auditing, forecasting, treasury/cash management, commercial finance and sourcing.
Combines coursework, job assignments and interactive seminars to equip you with exceptional technical, financial and business skills.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP)
The Information Technology Leadership Program is the premier technical leadership program at GE, offering those with a passion for information technology the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, business acumen and technical aptitude, while building a career with unlimited potential. Program members lead by doing – gaining real-world experience by working on important and challenging projects alongside some of the brightest technical minds in the world to develop a thorough understanding of the technology that one works with.
Lead by Doing
As a key pipeline for future leaders of GE’s world-class global IT organization, the Information Technology Leadership Program delivers continued education with over 12 weeks of technical (e.g. Java programming, DBA, data warehousing, business intelligence, et al), project management (waterfall and Scrum), and leadership training over the two years. The job assignments and training are designed to enable participants to use their information technology experience to drive some of GE’s strategic business initiatives. MANUFACTURING/OPERATIONS
Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP)
OMLP is an intensive program designed to accelerate the development of entry-level talent and produce leaders capable of meeting the challenges facing the operations function at GE. OMLP is a two-year program that allows members to build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and world-class training. Through these job assignments and training, program members are involved in GE's strategic initiatives, including GE's drive for Lean Six Sigma.
Program Summary
Intensive two-year entry-level program spanning four rotational assignments.
Possible assignments include: shop operations, process engineering, lean manufacturing, global supply chain management, materials management, environmental health and safety.
Technical training in contemporary manufacturing, global supply chain management, APICS, lean six sigma and environmental health and safety.
Business training and challenging experience in: project management, team leading, negotiation, manufacturing finance.
The program provides valuable experience through mentoring, teamwork, ongoing reviews, and defined deliverables.

SALES & MARKETING
Commercial Leadership Program (CLP)
As part of our strategy to achieve commercial excellence and drive organic growth, we are developing a pipeline of strong sales and marketing leaders at GE through the Commercial Leadership Program (CLP). CLP offers a core curriculum that fosters the development of business specific commercial skills and techniques that are critical to success in all GE businesses. CLP prepares candidates for a successful career in sales or commercial operations by providing the opportunity to learn about our products, industry, and to face customers while making valuable contributions to the ongoing success of GE.
Program Summary
Intensive two-year entry-level program spanning three to four rotational assignments in one of GE’s businesses.
Combines coursework, job assignments and training to equip you with exceptional marketing and selling skills.
Led by senior GE professionals and mentors.
Develops world-class commercial leaders.
Candidate Criteria
Degree in Engineering.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills.
Flexible, adaptable and geographically mobile.
Strong commitment to a career in engineering.
MBA with relevant experience in the Industrial sector, such as in Energy/Healthcare.
Relevant work experience (1-2 years).
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
Analytic or experimental design experience, with an understanding of customer segmentation.
Flexible, adaptable and geographically mobile.
Additional candidate criteria may vary by GE business.
The program members (EEDPs) gain core-engineering skills through at least three challenging technical assignments in various technologies over a period of two to three years under the mentorship of senior technical leaders.
Their skills are further fine-tuned through GE’s Advanced Course in Engineering (A Course), formal reports and presentations to senior leadership. In their second year, EEDPs take the B course, to learn skills to prepare actual technical business proposals.
EEDPs also have the opportunity to complete a Master’s degree through a variety of top engineering schools while working at GE.
The program equips its graduates with a technical and business foundation for an accelerated growth in their engineering careers.
Edison Engineering Development Program
The Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is an accelerated program for early career engineers to develop a broad exposure as well as depth in engineering through business-critical projects, intense technical & leadership trainings, and mentorship.
