Ghana

As one of the countries under GE's Developing Health Globally initiative, the company has donated medical equipment, power generation equipment, lighting technology and water purification systems to sites in Komfo Anokye Teach Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi and Kintampo District Hospital in central Ghana. This initiative is designed to improve healthcare delivery in rural African communities and other regions of the world.

Kenya

In 2008, GE completed the Hamma Seawater Desalination Plant, the largest desalination plant in northern Africa, which provides 2 million Algerian residents with a reliable source of fresh drinking water every day. Through revolutionary thinking and cutting-edge technologies from GE's Oil & Gas and Power & Water businesses, GE is able to solve some of the unique challenges that Algeria faces today, while helping to position them for a brighter tomorrow.

Nigeria

In an effort to help Nigeria meet its growing demand for electricity, GE has supplied over 100 gas turbines to the country. From our custom solutions in the oil & gas, energy and healthcare industries to our local inspection and servicing facilities, GE has fostered growing relationships with both the government and private business sectors, helping the country reach its potential.

South Africa

With a relationship spanning back a century, GE has invested in major infrastructure and media projects such as emergency generators for Anglo Platinum and the CNBC Africa broadcast headquarters. Today, the more than 500 GE employees located in country drive growth in the energy, security and healthcare industries, which enable South Africa to tackle some of its greatest challenges.

Angola
Since 1967, GE's partnership with Angola has helped the country discover a multitude of opportunities, from new ways to generate power to a complete modernization of its transportation. In 1996 & 2004, we set up offices in Malongo and Luanda. GE is proud to have played a role in Angola's economic growth over the last 30 years and will continue to contribute for years to come.
