About the Case Study

GE's Computer Science Contest starts off with case study that is open to all participating high schools. For the case study, we develop the Java framework and the high school students build the logical solution.

Since the case study is generally a game or a puzzle, it provides the students with a fun, interactive, and challenging opportunity to solve computer problems while preparing for the Advanced Placement Test in Computer Science scheduled in May.

The case study's are evaluated on a point system based off of functionallity, documentation, and how it compares to the example solution.

All the winners are presented with ribbons during the awards ceremony after the test. We thank all the teams who participate each year and we congratulate the previous winners!
