Girls Education in Africa
Girls Education in Africa provides support to organizations that work to improve access to and the quality of primary education for girls. The program aims to improve math and language skills, as well as educate students in life skills, hygiene and HIV/AIDS prevention. The Girls Education initiative helps to build stronger communities by leveraging relationships and learning from the Developing Health Globally™ program.
Junior Achievement
GE Foundation partners with Junior Achievement to provide thousands of students in more than 25 countries with access to free enterprise education that addresses areas such as business, economics, character and ethics, citizenship, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work-related life skills. In addition to GE Foundation funding, GE employees volunteer as mentors throughout the world.
Higher Education Scholarships
GE Foundation works with the Institute of International Education to provide 200 scholarships to students at more than 100 universities in Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.
