Supporting philanthropy and education for GE employees and retirees.
Through the GE Foundation Matching Gifts Program, GE employees can donate to an eligible non-profit organization and GE Foundation will provide a dollar-for-dollar match. In addition, GE Foundation and GE employees support the United Way financially and through volunteer work. Further, GE STAR Awards are given to selected children of GE employees and retirees to recognize outstanding achievements and provide financial support for college.

Matching Gifts
GE Foundation created the corporate Matching Gifts Program in 1954 to support employees in their personal philanthropy by providing a dollar-for-dollar match on employee donations.
