    David Joyce:
I had a great opportunity to work with Brian when I was, uh, a- at the early part of my career. And from every interaction I had with him, uh, I can almost remember it as if it was yesterday because he left such a lasting impression on me. And what made Brian great as an innovator, and not just an innovator, but a builder, because he built this business, was the c- courage he had in his convictions. The absolute sense of urgency he had for technology development in this marketplace. And the ability to just align talent and move when we needed to move, and make big innovations, and make big bets in the market.

    David Joyce:
The- the GE-Ninety, which is now th- the most successful twin-aisle aircraft engine in the world, and the- the best fuel burn twin-aisle engine in the world was Brian's thoughts. He actually went to Boeing and told them it was time to build a big twin airplane. He made a commitment to build an engine that went up to a hundred and fifteen thousand pounds of thrust, called the GE-Ninety. The f- the diameter of the fan of the engine is as big as the entire fuselage of a Seven Three Seven, to give you some perspective. And, the innovations that are in that engine today formed the basis and the foundation for an entire future product plan that we currently have on the Seven Eight Seven. And Brian took that risk. He took that risk when many people didn't think that we had the capability to pull off what we needed to to make the engine work. And now, its reliability is unprecedented in the marketplace. Its fuel burn has set a benchmark for everyone in the marketplace, and its use of advanced technology materials has set us on a path to advance our- our next generation of engines that we would have never been on if it wasn't for Brian.
