Our People

An american favorite, Silly Putty™ was invented by GE Engineer James Wright in 1943, when he accidentally dropped boric acid into silicone oil.

We are GE’s greatest asset. We are more than 300,000 people with jobs that range from biochemist to finance specialist to wind energy engineer. We’re passionate about making life better with new ideas and technologies. We’re diverse, supporting our communities in more than 140 countries. We are GE.
