Selected Initiatives

Developing Futures™ in Education

This signature education program provides multi-year education grants to select U.S. public school districts. So far, GE Foundation has committed nearly $150 million to six school districts across the country.

Developing Health

Created by GE Foundation and the GE Corporate Diversity Council, this is a three-year, $25 million program that provides grant funding and GE employee volunteer support to non-profit health centers across the United States.

International Programs

GE Foundation funds training and education initiatives in emerging markets to improve capacity building and reduce disparity. These programs cover topics such as environment, health and safety in the workplace, healthcare capacity building, and primary and secondary education.

Disaster Relief

Through our grants to relief organizations such as International Red Cross and UNICEF, GE Foundation is able to assist communities affected by natural and humanitarian disasters. From Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans to the earthquake in Haiti, we are quick to respond when disasters strike.

Matching Gifts

By matching donations above $25 made by GE employees and retirees to eligible non-profit organizations, we promote a strong culture of giving within the organization.
