Entry-Level Program: Information Technology Leadership Program (ITLP)

The Information Technology Leadership Program is the premier technical leadership program at GE, offering those with a passion for information technology the opportunity to grow their leadership skills, business acumen and technical aptitude, while building a career with unlimited potential. Program members lead by doing – gaining real-world experience by working on important and challenging projects alongside some of the brightest technical minds in the world.

Lead by Doing

Information technology (IT) is critical to the future of GE. With nearly 10,000 IT professionals in roughly 50 countries, GE IT represents a major area of focus and investment across the company and is essential to maintaining our leadership, competitiveness and success. For those with a passion for technology, no other company offers the diversity of experience and career potential that GE does.

As a key pipeline for future leaders of GE’s world-class global IT organization, the Information Technology Leadership Program delivers continued education with over 12 weeks of technical (e.g. Java programming, DBA, data warehousing, business intelligence, et al), project management (waterfall and Scrum), and leadership training over the two years. The job assignments and training are designed to enable participants to use their information technology experience to drive some of GE’s strategic business initiatives. Each assignment and training experience is global allowing participants to travel to other countries, work with colleagues from around the world, and make an impact on products and services that make the world better.

Candidate Criteria

GE is an equal opportunity employer. Legal authorization to work in the country/region where the business is hiring is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. Criteria for program consideration include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or computer engineering is preferred — additional technical majors or business major with technical concentration may be applicable.
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA, or equivalent outside the U.S.
  • Passion and aptitude for technology.
  • Solid technical and analytical skills, coupled with sharp business acumen.
  • Relevant work experience (prior internships or campus work experiences).
  • Geographic mobility.

Full-time Program: An overwhelming number of outstanding individuals were screened for a limited number of opportunities with the full-time Information Technology Leadership Program and currently we are unable to accept additional applicants.
