The Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP) puts information management careers on the fast track. Program graduates are in tremendous demand throughout GE. IMLP develops strong technical and project management skills through coursework and meaningful assignments. Information professionals touch every part of our operations, and play an increasing role in helping GE sustain its record of profitable growth. The program offers opportunities for successful IMLPs to accelerate their careers.
The IMLP involves four six-month rotational assignments through one of GE's major business units. The program consists of an intensive combination of on the job training in various technologies and formal in-class coursework in advanced information technology concepts, finance, leadership, and business skills.
The program provides participants with opportunities to make a measurable impact on GE. Members have the unique opportunity to work with colleagues across businesses and from around the globe to work on important projects in a wide variety of areas. The program provides participants with visibility to senior level IT and business leaders, while fostering personal development through mentoring and coaching. The typical rotation into four different IT jobs in just two years provides valuable contacts and experience that accelerate the development of technical, business, and leadership skills.
Please note that the IMLP recruiting, application and hiring process is specific to this region.
IMLPs will be placed at one of the following GE businesses based on availability of positions, the interviewer's assessment and the applicant's preference (indicated in the online application):
