Why did you decide to join GE?

Unlike other companies, the diversity of businesses and areas of expertise in GE allows communicators like myself to develop a strong career inside the company. GE understands the importance of strategic communications as part of its business plan. GE is part of everything and it's everywhere; being part of something this big has always been one of my biggest motivations.

What are you working on?

I'm working on a communications strategy with an objective to efficiently impact the +28 manufacturing sites GE has in Mexico, uniformly integrating GE's corporate and industrial cultures throughout the country. The main challenge is to demonstrate the benefit of a strategic communications plan, by having better and more efficient communication channels that can help improve production processes, positively impacting the revenues and engaging employees across the company.

What has been most rewarding about your GE experience?

The fact that GE gives me the tools and the training to develop my professional and personal growth. It is great to feel valued and trusted and at the same time prepared to perform at the highest level. On a more personal note, discovering that my grandfather, who I never met, worked as a shop coordinator for GE Transportation in San Luis Potosi. GE is part of my personal story in more ways than I can imagine.
