Before joining GE fulltime, I completed an internship at GE Transportation in Locomotive Control where I learned the basics of materials management and inventory controllership. After finishing my undergraduate work at Cornell University, I completed the Business Bridge Program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
GE's commitment to employee development and its degree of diversification across different industries provide employees unlimited career opportunities. The classroom and on-the-job training at GE set the bar for corporate education.
Currently I am a Strategic Sourcing Analyst on the Engineered Systems team. I am managing a strategic sourcing project on air compressors to find the lowest possible life cycle cost and to achieve a deflationary pricing scheme. I am also managing the Rationalization & Global Footprint portions of the Supplier Relationship Management Initiative for my team.
The most rewarding part of my GE experience has been the relationships that I have created with people from all over the world. I have a better understanding of how important corporate relationships are whether it be with my customers, colleagues, competitors and/or employees. My colleagues at GE have enabled me to grow immensely both personally and professionally.
