Before GE I was in grad school. Prior to that, I worked in the education field in Costa Rica for several years.
I joined GE for two main reasons – first, because of the people who I met during the hiring process. They impressed me, and inspired me, and I wanted to be a part of the same team they were on! I also joined because of the change orientation I sensed as part of the way people spoke. With things constantly evolving, I thought I could continuously grow as a person both professionally and personally. And I was definitely right.
Programs and initiatives focused on developing our executive talent. Looking at how our company can continue to evolve and compete to attract and retain talent in the future. How cool is that?
The same things that drew me to the company in the first place – the people and the appetite for change. I learn something new from my colleagues every day; sometimes it feels like a living classroom. And the orientation for change and evolution has led to a 12-year career full of diverse experiences that has benefited both me and the company.
