What were you doing before joining GE?

Prior to starting my internship at GE, I worked as an English Teacher for kids and teenagers. I also gave business English and communication classes at local multinationals.

Why did you decide to join GE?

I decided to join GE because I recognized it as a company that really cared about people. GE is able to provide unlimited opportunities to its employees worldwide, fulfilling many professionals' desire for development and growth. Not to mention it invests in active efforts to contribute in the communities where it is present.

What are you working on?

As part of the Staffing CoE team in Latin America, I've been supporting the university relations and talent attraction initiatives in the region. It's wonderful to be part of talent development; building pipeline and guaranteeing the continuity of the expertise needed to support business growth. We've recently also finished staffing for Leadership Programs and it's great to see young professionals track such brilliant careers. I love to see all of the brilliant career paths that start off of these programs!

What has been most rewarding about your GE experience?

I joined GE through GE Healthcare while it was rolling out a due diligence process for a large acquisition. It was an incredible opportunity to take a deep dive into HR, enabling me a better understanding of the company's processes, culture and values, not to mention the global interaction it also provided (the M & A team also toured to several Latin America countries for Integration sessions). It's great to know that I work at a company that can provide so many different challenges, reminding me that there is something new to learn every day.
