I decided to be part of GE for two reasons: One, the CLDP program. The structure and the design of the program fascinated me the most. In the next two years I will be exposed to many challenging jobs that I wouldn't have done in my job prior to joining GE. I look forward to the cross-cultural experience that the program has to offer me when I move to a new country; this will not only help me meet like-minded colleagues from a different part of the world, but also help me expand my domain of knowledge. On the other hand, what excited me was the idea of being a part of a large global community called GE.
My key project is revamping the GE India Capital website from scratch. I am working to give it a fresh look and make it content heavy. It is a challenging task to make a five-page website into a 65-page robust website adhering to the global brand standards. I am also learning to become a true GE boundaryless employee by extending my expertise to different teams such as the GE India corporate team, to manage the 1st India Grand Prix Customer engagement program and GE India - Women's Network for their annual hub events across five cities.
My most rewarding GE experience is yet to come. But in these 100-plus days I feel I am transitioning from one phase to another, learning to unlearn certain processes that were old school and moving ahead with a team of experienced communicators.
